 Decent Helmet for the Price |

I ordered this without knowing too much about it for my 5 year old grandson. The helmet itself seems to be very nicely made, appears strong and looks like it does what it was designed to do, even though it is made in China. It is very well padded and the coloring is very nice. Be advised, however, that the goggles are first of all, adult size and not junior size, and have a very foggy looking lens, not clear. So I would advise saving the extra money this helmet costs with the goggles and just ordering the helmet alone. Oder the goggles else where.
Update: The goggles did have film on the lenses which did come off, but there is nothing to indicate this. The film is on both sides. Also, I'm told that the goggles go over the helmet and not under and I'm now assuming that's why they look so big. It was a huge struggle getting this helmet on my 5-year-old grandson's head, even though the sizing should be right. Got a medium for him. May have to get a bigger size.
Another update 02/23/10: After awhile my grandson was able to get this on and off of his head without too much troble, so I am now assuming that the size was correct. He seems to be happy with it. |
